In March of 2007 PCSC introduced another first for the security industry:
arrowThe revolutionary
Fault Tolerant System, which offers the security industry's first high availability access control system with redundant host, controllers, and communication. The peer-to-peer network of master controllers and door interface modules provides for a level of reliability which is required for today’s security environment but has, until now, been unavailable.

“IT concepts are also spilling over into other areas of the security industry. We saw an interesting demonstration by PCSC of an application for fault tolerant hardware for access control systems.
Removing the vulnerability to single point failures has long been a goal of communications networks and a key to providing a robust and reliable security systems. We share PCSC’s enthusiasm and believe the development of fault tolerant systems will have a significant impact on the security market."

- Greenwich Technology Advisors

“We believe the PCSC Fault Tolerant Panel design to be the most innovative solution in Access Control we’ve seen in some time. We now can advise our clients that they do not have to worry about outside factors, such as network or wiring failures, affecting the reliability of their Security systems."

Q: You have recently introduced the Fault Tolerant (FT™) Controller. What is this product and how will it improve access control, alarm monitoring and output control systems?
A: The Fault Tolerant controllers are the next generation of controllers, designed to greatly improve system integrity and reliability. Our definition of integrity is to provide an “online” security network without any system degradation, even during the loss of communication, hardware or firmware failure. empty Next
